Since the beginning of time, history and miracles have gone hand in hand. All cultures have their own stories – stories of gods and demons, monsters and miracles. With a growing interest in the roots of culture, a recognition of the importance of history and archeology in understanding human nature, the 20th century saw a resurgence in literary texts.

The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy By Jrr Tolkien [1965 Hardcover Box Set]
The strength of Tolkien’s work lies in its faithfulness to its roots in the histories of the Norse world. Tolkien believed that the roots of history and the roots of language were the same and inseparable, and he demonstrated this belief by creating an entirely new language (Elvis) with its own grammar, its own beautiful writing, and its own history. It’s a sacred and personal world, but it has proven to be fertile ground to develop your most imaginative stories.
Eric Fraser is one of the most important British artists of the 20th century. His paintings – seven full-length portraits and 57 portraits – are based on original drawings of Queen Margaret II of Denmark. Tolkien saw his illustrations and was so pleased that his executors gave Fraser special permission to display these folio prints. The covers and guards are covered in gold and a map of Middle-earth completes this edition of the world’s favorite book.

The Hobbit was released as a single volume some time ago. I like the idea of being called a “tie-in film” because it doesn’t feature any footage from the Peter Jackson film adaptation. As an editor, it’s nice to get a citation every now and then, and a cover like this is even better.
When it was released, I wanted to know who the artist was who made these beautiful covers. I like that the spine on the back of Lord of the Rings is a nice tree, and the case is fine. Come on HarperCollins, give credit to the artist! Whose job is this?
