AMC bigwigs called the co-creation team of Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould to say they wanted more of this world of expertise, but now… There’s nothing at this point.

In an interview with Rolling Stone following this week’s episode, the final episode written and directed by Gilligan (“Waterworks”) and the penultimate episode of the entire series, the man steeped in Heisenberg’s poetry (Thanks to Rolling Stone one!) was willing to get away from it all for ten and a half years.
First, he admits that he really wants to find another treasure chest to bring characters from this world to life…but on second thought, he has to try something new, at least for a while. He admitted that
“I can definitely imagine coming back. Selfishly, to keep it going, I would love to. But without naming names, I want to share my favorite worlds, universes and stories, whether on TV or in movies.” Look around and I think there’s a certain point in the same universe that’s gone too far and it’s hard to define… Don’t, and some universes are much bigger and more flexible. Our world is very small in Albuquerque, New Mexico, unlike some of those worlds and series of movies and TV shows. My biggest fear is that the one trick pony will get too much yes there is more i can do in this universe maybe one day i will especially if i fail everything that comes next i will be crawling back but now there’s room for growth Whether there is or not, there probably will be, but I feel like it’s time to do something new.”

After all, Gilligan admits here (and he and Gould have said this many times before) that they only see “about two inches in front of [their] nose”. I admit it.
Their intentions for the first season and the series as a whole were very different from those originally planned.
“I could have gone either way, but there was probably an element of not wanting to kill off his character. There were so many predetermined elements to this story. Jimmy You Can’t Kill McGill on his own show, you can’t kill a character who knows the fate of Breaking Bad, but in Kim’s case the sky was the limit, and it hurt to kill her To be honest, it probably never came when people stopped us on the street and said, ‘I’m not coming to kill Kim, am I?” But finding out where she ended up, like all the other storylines we do, was a very small step and almost never worked.

And at the end of the interview, Gilligan also admits that the reality that it’s all over didn’t hit him like any other reality.
“It’s funny. A lot of people have asked me lately, but it didn’t really apply to me. The end
It was a very clear line and a clear demarcation. I remember being on set the last day and everyone was so emotional. It was many years ago. Fifteen years have passed since then, but that was about the sixth year. This may not be a satisfactory answer. Maybe it hasn’t hit me yet. I think I hit Peter. I think it affected the writer and the actor. I can be slow to respond. I hope it doesn’t get as intense and overt as what Kim is going through on that rental car shuttle. Crying is a bit of her reaction after 6 years… I hope to be alone at home when that happens.

The thing is, it’s in light of what Gould said some time ago. No, or you can stay on as executive producer and adviser and leave the universe in someone else’s hands (I hear Seehorn is a very dedicated director).
Gould (based in the UK) said in June that there was plenty of room for a number of spin-offs.
“Each of these characters could have had an entire show… Definitely. I mean, Kim Wexler, Mike Ehrmantraut, Hank Schrader… Hank Schrader’s show is absolutely worth watching.” Alright, we’ll see what happens. At present. I think I’ll give him some rest.”

And always remember, money talks, and as we alluded to, the folks at AMC are ready to keep things rolling for another few or 15 years.
In an interview with Variety, AMC Networks Entertainment President Dan McDermott said of Gould, Gilligan and everyone involved:
“If there’s anything I can do to help Vince and Peter stay alive in this universe, I will. the phone rings and a friend of Vince, Peter or Sonny calls and says, “Hey, I think we have another show. is happening in this universe.”

“I would love for them to continue, but that’s not realistic. All the shows eventually end, so these shows run their course. In the world we live in, the next three years, I think it’s there will be a lot of excitement and excitement for the next four, five, ten years and when they do, the opportunity to revisit them in different ways is an interesting prospect, but we look forward to new successful franchises . And I’m also creating new shows. With the end of these concerts opens up opportunities and pressure – that’s a good thing, I like the pressure.
