, Andy Grammer had a surefire gem on his hands with “Honey, I’m Fine.” Which obviously raised his reputation. He would have another, albeit less successful, hit with “Good to Be Alive (Hallelujah)”. On Good To Be Alive, the production work is pretty interesting, although Grammer seems thoroughly enthusiastic – good words if I do say so myself! Either way, he has good reason to look excited. In general, he is grateful for the success he has achieved, stressing: “He feels so lucky to be alive now.” So to tie everything together, this “nonsense” – tried to find and achieve success. Now that he has finally accomplished something, he is grateful and feels so sweet.

Answer: many times. We made many offers. It’s one of my favorite cities. We did a lot there to raise money for breast cancer research and awareness. Ohio has some really great music fans.
Q: I read that you were discovered as a hitchhiker in Los Angeles. How did this experience influence the writing process?
A: It raises the bar on how good something should be or how far it should move you. When you’re out on the street giving deals to strangers – getting someone to reach into their pocket and pull out their wallet, learn what your goal is and how hard it really is. I don’t know how many times you’ve stopped an entertainer on the street and put a tip in their jar, but usually it’s because they’re so good and have exceeded your expectations.
So that set the bar at the beginning of my career very high. I bring that level of intensity to most things. When it comes to shows, when it comes to songs, when it comes to anything. It has to be so good that it affects someone. Taking it to the radio, it’s like, when was the last time you heard a song on the radio or on a playlist or something and you have to go tell your friend about it? It must be of this quality.
